About
I believe that Spiritual Direction enlivens you and allows you to be more present in your own life and in the lives of those around you so that you become genuinely connected to something bigger than yourself.
Hi, I’m Cambria!
My superpower is curiosity.
As a somatic therapist for over twenty years, I have learned how to truly and meaningfully listen to people. I am endlessly interested in how people develop especially how they engage with and attend to their spiritual lives, whatever that means to them.
I have had years of uncertainty about my own spiritual life but have slowly found my way through introspection, study and various practices, mostly connected to Buddhism. As a way to deepen my inquiry I began working with a spiritual director and found immeasurable support within that relationship.
In 2020, I embarked on the journey to become an interfaith spiritual director. I am so delighted and honored to be able to offer this support to others who know they are seeking, but may not know for what.
In addition to my roles as a therapist and as a spiritual companion, I’m also an artist and recognize how much of my creative life is connected to my spiritual life. It’s clear to me how the creative and generative acts that make us feel alive as human beings are the very same things that empower us to connect most deeply to our spiritual center.
I have a very non-directive approach to Spiritual Direction. I am interested in the process of discovery and supporting you in deepening your inquiry about the things that are most meaningful for you. It is my goal to accompany you on a path that will enliven you and bring you closer to self-integration.
I find that people who benefit the most from what I offer—
- Want to explore their spiritual life but are skeptical of traditional religious frameworks
- Seek to honor their spirituality outside the traditions of their family
- Wish to deepen their relationship to the things that bring meaning and value to their life
- Find value in asking questions that are without immediate and straightforward answers
- Would like a spiritual companion who can support and care for their soul in moments of pain or loss.
I abide by the Guidelines for Ethical Conduct established by Spiritual Directors International.
I've worked with Cambria for over a year now. She has been an excellent resource for me to explore and refine my spiritual beliefs and values. She helps me take what I've learned from my past practices and modify it to fit the way my life is evolving in the present. Cambria creates an easy environment for me to express myself while asking the deep questions in a friendly manner. She's very skilled at offering spiritual strategies that work for me because she's tuned in when I speak. She not only listens, she hears."

This is the first, the wildest and the wisest thing I know: that the soul exists and is built entirely out of attentiveness.
